Besides spending time with my lovely wife Sue, these are the things which are currently in my focus. Right now I am working on adding past blog posts and reviews I have prepared to this website.
I am not good at reading just one book after the other but instead read many books at the same time. I sometimes feel like I need to have a break so things can settle. Currently, I am reading The Mom Test, No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention and What We Owe The Future. Besides those books, I am reading the last book of the Harry Potter Collection.
Currently I am in reading 107 weeks in a row. I am just skipping a day here and there in between. The longest streak of reading every day has been 68 days (27.02.2022 - 05.05.2022).
In my continuous effort (since 2020) to lose weight, I try to exercise a lot. I spend a lot of time on the bicycle and do strength and mobility exercises. Depending on the weather conditions and season, there is also hiking and snowboarding. I am learning to ski as well as freestyle swimming which I have a hard time getting sorted.
To support my efforts, sometimes I need crazy goals to keep reminding myself every day.
The reality is, I have too many projects I want to look into. I don't pressure myself to finish private projects if I figure I have learned enough or there is something more interesting or challenging around the corner. Live is too short to stick to boring stuff.
The second time I am looking into fermenting kombucha. This time I found this really simple alternative of just taking apple juice instead of black tea and sugar. It ferments into some nice sparkling juice with a bit of acidity to it. Through the last few weeks I kept enjoying that.
In my continuous effort on how to build stuff, I am looking into laser cutting right now. Since I joined the Kickstarter campaign a few years back, I have received the Snapmaker a while ago, which can do 3D Printing, Laser Cutting and CNC. Right now it is about understanding how to cut through wood, experiment with the settings and failing a lot. Looking forward to success very much.
There is not much changing here. I am happily involved with Accounto as a CTO and Co-Founder, taking care of all things product. Most of the articles here relate to my work more than to the other topics.
